There’s also, though only in tiny quantities, some Nebbiolo made in the northern parts of Greece which is performing really really well.

Oh cool, hadn't heard about that. Have you had a chance to taste much of it? We haven't seen any make its way to the states, though presumably that's due to production volume being so small.

I only know one producer that makes it tbh, their English trading name being Wine Art Estate. Had it at their winery and it’s from some of the highest altitude vineyards in Greece. Superb stuff. https://wineartestate.com/nebbio/

For now bogged down (predictably) in Greek bureaucracy haha, but it’ll get there 😊

Oooh and Touriga? That's awesome. Definitely eager to try these if I ever have a chance. Thanks George!

Pleasure! And if you’re ever in the area, stop by Ktima Charalaboglou. They also make some killer stuff! Abt 15-20 mins away from the other location. And, down the road, when my little vineyard project gets going that’s gonna be about 15-20 mins away as well. Current appellations I think don’t do that area justice as there is a cluster of great producers there.
