This is what I love about your scoring system - I can already tell I'd like Isaac's wine more than the Viognier-heavy (and "richer") one rated by Zach. Not a fan of Viognier or the pineappley side of whites! I'll take the bitter aftertaste over that shinola any day. That all said, white Rhones and Bordeauxs are absolutely some of the best budget buys out there right now, since no one gives a shite.
Love to hear it! I wish we (Zach and I) had been able to do a joint tasting so I could see how our scores would compare. **Shockingly** our palates are actually pretty closely aligned in general, but it is definitely more the case with reds than with whites, so it's always fun to revisit something one or the other of us has scored blind to see how it goes. Personally, I think I'd agree with you here; though I didn't score it "conventionally" high, I really enjoyed it as a sipping wine and it kills with a rich pasta dish. Gotta get the world diving deeper into the slept on white wines from red-dominated regions!
Favorite line: "Many Côtes du Rhône whites are intended for early drinking (TYPICALLY BEFORE 9 AM),"
Pairs well with a humble omelette
Honestly, it probably does.

I think I've seen that Guigal in NL - will pick up a bottle to try. Thanks for the tip!
