I’ve tasted quite a few of these as I sell a bunch of them. My palate is very different than you guys, which is what makes wine so fun. Cedro do Noval, P+S Prats & Symington Chryseia and a few CdP’s are probably at my top for reds this year.
100% part of the fun! Though we both love a Douro – this post was limited to wines we've reviewed for the blog in 2025 so a little narrower in scope for that reason, I think our last Douro post was mid-2024 (definitely overdue for another "visit"!). Cdp is def a little less to our taste though – had some amazing examples before, but obviously when it comes to more premium regions, the price tag favors putting your money where your mouth is in the literal sense and kind of reinforces the experiential bias. I can't speak for Zach but I need to try all of the Douros you listed there, looking forward to tracking them down!!
I totally get the narrower scope from what you reviewed this year. I fell in love with wine via CdP, some of my favorite wines but the price tag can be annoying. But again, I love this about wine. We all like such different wines it makes it fun!

Some old faves a few ones I clearly need to try in the name of research and science
